Under Consideration
10Migrate from JustAdd+ App
This initiative focuses on making it easy for teams currently using the JustAdd+ app to transition seamlessly to Capable. This migration path will help customers bring their content, workflows, and embedded experiences into our platform with minimal effort and maximum value. We’ll provide clear tooling, documentation, and support to help users migrate embedded content, macros, and integrations—ensuring that nothing is lost in the move and everything feels like a true upgrade. This is about more than switching apps—it’s about unlocking a better, more modern experience with the power and flexibility of Capable.
Migrate from Stratus Diagrams Apps
We’re making it easy for teams using Stratus Diagrams apps to migrate their work to Capable Diagrams—our powerful, native diagramming solution built for Confluence and beyond. As teams look to reduce app sprawl and adopt more cohesive, user-friendly tools, Capable Diagrams offers a flexible, modern alternative without compromising on features. This migration experience will focus on: Importing existing diagrams created in Stratus, including structure and styling Preserving relationships, labels, and formatting to reduce rework
Recurring Events in Calendar
Recurring events are coming to the calendar, making it easy to schedule repeating meetings, check-ins, or reminders. Whether weekly standups or monthly reviews, you’ll be able to set a custom recurrence pattern and manage all instances from a single event series.
Full Support for Data Residency
We're committing to full data residency support across the entire Capable product suite. While several of our individual apps already offer this functionality, key apps—such as those in our suite offering and the Approvals module—currently lack it. This initiative aims to close that gap. With growing regulatory and compliance demands around data sovereignty, our customers—especially enterprise and public sector organizations—need the ability to control where their data is stored. This roadmap item represents our effort to meet that need, ensuring that all Capable apps can align with regional data governance policies, reduce legal risk, and build trust with security-conscious teams. This upgrade will bring consistent, transparent, and region-specific data storage options across the entire Capable ecosystem.
Insert Markdown from Private GitHub Repos
We're adding the ability to seamlessly insert Markdown content from Private GitHub Repositories into Confluence. Whether it's documentation, README files, changelogs, or internal guides, users will be able to fetch and embed Markdown files from GitLab repositories directly—without copy-pasting or formatting issues. This feature will improve collaboration between engineering and content teams, reduce duplication of information, and ensure your Confluence pages stay in sync with your source of truth in GitHub. Support will include specifying branches, file paths, and rendering options. It’s a smarter way to bring your source control content into your knowledge tools—fully integrated, always up-to-date, and beautifully rendered.
Easily Compare Search Results with Visual Columns
We’re enhancing the Capable Search experience with visual comparison columns—including spark bars—to help users quickly evaluate and differentiate between similar results. When browsing search results across pages, approvals, or content versions, it can be difficult to tell which item is most relevant without opening each one. With this feature, users will get at-a-glance visual cues that make it easy to scan, sort, and select the right result—without losing context.
Migrate from Comala Apps
We’re creating a seamless migration path for teams moving from Comala apps—such as Comala Document Management and Comala Publishing—to Capable Approval and Publishing. As organizations seek simpler, more modern alternatives to legacy workflow tools, this initiative will ensure they can transition confidently without sacrificing structure or control. Our goal is to offer: Workflow and page state mapping for approval chains and publishing stages Automated migration tools to reduce manual setup and data loss
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for Approvals
To strengthen the security posture of our approval workflows, we are introducing two-factor authentication (2FA) as a mandatory step for all users performing critical approval actions. This feature will ensure that only authorized individuals can approve sensitive requests or content, adding an essential layer of protection against unauthorized access, spoofing, and internal threats. By integrating 2FA, we’re aligning with industry best practices for secure operations and creating greater confidence in our approval processes. This enhancement will support both time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) and SMS/email verification options to provide flexibility without compromising security. Let’s make approvals smarter, safer, and more trustworthy.
Embed Markdown from a File or Attachment
We’re making it easier than ever to reuse and display Markdown content—by enabling direct embedding from uploaded files or attachments. Instead of pasting or rewriting content, users will be able to select a Markdown file (e.g., .md) and render it beautifully right within their Confluence pages or approval workflows. This feature streamlines collaboration with developers and content creators, reduces formatting friction, and ensures that Markdown-based documentation, notes, or specs remain consistent and easy to update. Whether it’s an attached changelog, a project README, or reusable templates, embedding Markdown just became a whole lot simpler.
Read Receipts Capability
Add the ability to ask users to read a page and then confirm.

7Improved Macro Export to PDF/Word
Blocked on https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-81513 PDF exports are often used for reporting, sharing, and offline access. Ensuring these exports faithfully represent all page content helps maintain clarity and prevents misunderstandings caused by missing visuals or macros. We’re currently collaborating closely with Atlassian and their development team to address limitations in how certain content types are processed during export. Our goal is to provide a seamless export experience that includes all embedded components without loss or formatting issues. We’ll share updates here as the improvement progresses. Thank you for your continued support and feedback.
Subscribe to Calendar Events (Outlook, Teams etc.)
We're adding support for calendar subscriptions, allowing you to sync events with your preferred calendar apps like Outlook, Google Calendar, or Microsoft Teams. Stay up to date across platforms with automatic updates and seamless integration into your existing workflow.
External Links in Calendar Events
We’re adding the ability to include external links in events—such as conference call invites, webinar URLs, or meeting platforms. This enhancement ensures participants can easily access relevant resources directly from the event entry, improving coordination and reducing friction when joining external sessions.
Add Calendar to Confluence Dashboard
We're introducing a calendar widget that can be added directly to your Confluence dashboard. This widget will display upcoming events in a clear, compact format—making it easier for teams to stay informed and aligned without navigating away from their workspace.
External Event Attendees in Calendar
You’ll soon be able to invite external participants—people without Confluence accounts—to calendar events. Just add their email addresses, and they’ll receive event details and updates via email. This makes it easy to coordinate with clients, partners, and other stakeholders outside your organization.
Notifications for Calendar Event Recipients
We’re adding notification support for calendar event recipients. Attendees—both internal and external—will receive timely email reminders and updates about upcoming events. This ensures everyone stays informed about changes, cancellations, and key event details without needing to manually check the calendar.
Add Approval with Automation Rules
We're introducing support for approvals within automation rules—making it easy to build workflows that require sign-off at key steps. Trigger actions based on approval outcomes, notify stakeholders, and streamline processes without manual coordination.

4Filter events by Tag in Capable Calendar
Quickly filter the events in the calendar by Tags you have added to them.
Create Predefined Approver Groups
We’re introducing the ability to define and manage reusable groups of approvers that can be easily applied to pages in a single click. No more forgetting who to ask approval from. With predefined groups, your teams can consistently route content to the right people — whether it’s legal, compliance, team leads, or anyone else. This helps standardize approval workflows, reduce setup friction, and ensure every page is reviewed by the right eyes before going live. Whether you're rolling out company-wide policies or managing knowledge across multiple teams, approval becomes more reliable, faster, and scalable.
Publish Pages in Bulk
We’re making it easier to manage large sets of content with bulk publishing. Instead of publishing pages one-by-one, you'll soon be able to publish them all at once. This is perfect for product releases, knowledge base launches, and documentation rollouts. Say goodbye to repetitive clicks. Say hello to fast, coordinated content pushes at scale.
