4100% Forge Modules
Blocked on FRGE-208 We currently use one Atlassian Connect module to enable Content Property Indexing. Once this functionality becomes available on Forge, we’ll migrate it and remove all remaining Connect references, making the app fully Forge-based.
Guest User Support
Blocked on CONFCLOUD-80208 Allow Guest Users to view Capable Macros on Pages.
Print/Export Macros
Blocked on CONFCLOUD-81513 PDF exports are often used for reporting, sharing, and offline access. Ensuring these exports faithfully represent all page content helps maintain clarity and prevents misunderstandings caused by missing visuals or macros. We’re currently collaborating closely with Atlassian and their development team to address limitations in how certain content types are processed during export. Our goal is to provide a seamless export experience that includes all embedded components without loss or formatting issues. We’ll share updates here as the improvement progresses. Thank you for your continued support and feedback.
Tabs Macro
Blocked on CONFCLOUD-81707 The Tabs Macro will allow Confluence authors to break up long pages into clickable, collapsible tabs, making it easier to present related content without overwhelming the reader. Think of it like sections in a UI component - each tab can contain text/formatting.

9Export search results to CSV
A small but powerful addition - exporting search results to CSV would let teams analyze, report on, or archive filtered content outside the app. Especially useful for audits, compliance, or reporting workflows.
Notifications for Calendar Event Recipients
We’re adding notification support for calendar event recipients. Attendees—both internal and external—will receive timely email reminders and updates about upcoming events. This ensures everyone stays informed about changes, cancellations, and key event details without needing to manually check the calendar.
External Event Attendees in Calendar
You’ll soon be able to invite external participants—people without Confluence accounts—to calendar events. Just add their email addresses, and they’ll receive event details and updates via email. This makes it easy to coordinate with clients, partners, and other stakeholders outside your organization.
Recurring Events in Calendar
Recurring events are coming to the calendar, making it easy to schedule repeating meetings, check-ins, or reminders. Whether weekly standups or monthly reviews, you’ll be able to set a custom recurrence pattern and manage all instances from a single event series.
Subscribe to Calendar Events (Outlook, Teams etc.)
We're adding support for calendar subscriptions, allowing you to sync events with your preferred calendar apps like Outlook, Google Calendar, or Microsoft Teams. Stay up to date across platforms with automatic updates and seamless integration into your existing workflow.
Advanced Table Macro Calculations
Introduce calculated columns, giving you the flexibility to automatically generate values based on data from other columns. This works much like formulas in Excel - for example, you can sum a range of values, find an average, or determine the minimum or maximum in a set. Once configured, these columns update automatically whenever the underlying data changes, helping you streamline reporting, reduce manual entry, and keep your information accurate in real time.
Import CSV into Advanced Table
Add the ability to upload or select from attachments a CSV file to render instead of the embedded table.
Migrate from Comala Apps
We’re creating a seamless migration path for teams moving from Comala apps—such as Comala Document Management and Comala Publishing—to Capable Approval and Publishing. As organizations seek simpler, more modern alternatives to legacy workflow tools, this initiative will ensure they can transition confidently without sacrificing structure or control. Our goal is to offer: Workflow and page state mapping for approval chains and publishing stages Automated migration tools to reduce manual setup and data loss
Migration Path for MacroSuite (Warsaw Dynamics)
Provide a migration path from moving from the MacroSuite app to Capable.

2Insert Markdown from Private GitHub Repos
We're adding the ability to seamlessly insert Markdown content from Private GitHub Repositories into Confluence. Whether it's documentation, README files, changelogs, or internal guides, users will be able to fetch and embed Markdown files from GitLab repositories directly—without copy-pasting or formatting issues. This feature will improve collaboration between engineering and content teams, reduce duplication of information, and ensure your Confluence pages stay in sync with your source of truth in GitHub. Support will include specifying branches, file paths, and rendering options. It’s a smarter way to bring your source control content into your knowledge tools—fully integrated, always up-to-date, and beautifully rendered.
Add Approval with Automation Rules
We're introducing support for approvals within automation rules—making it easy to build workflows that require sign-off at key steps. Trigger actions based on approval outcomes, notify stakeholders, and streamline processes without manual coordination.

2Improve Capable Performance
Make Capable apps feel instant. Users should never wait for pages to load, content to publish, or UIs to react. Performance is UX—and UX is product. This initiative spans both frontend and backend systems, targeting user-facing speed improvements and systemic efficiency. We’ll prioritize Capable for Confluence but apply improvements across shared infrastructure.
Embed Diagrams + HTML from an Attachment
We’re making it easier than ever to reuse and display Markdown content—by enabling direct embedding from uploaded files or attachments. Instead of pasting or rewriting content, users will be able to select a Markdown file (e.g., .md) and render it beautifully right within their Confluence pages or approval workflows. This feature streamlines collaboration with developers and content creators, reduces formatting friction, and ensures that Markdown-based documentation, notes, or specs remain consistent and easy to update. Whether it’s an attached changelog, a project README, or reusable templates, embedding Markdown just became a whole lot simpler.
